William D. Moore is a Commissioned Lay Pastor by the Presbytery of Shenandoah. He was commissioned to the Tabler PC after successfully completing the course of study as outlined by the Presbytery and met the requirements for review and evaluation.
He served as co-conveynor for the Eastern Panhandle Mission Community and is active in documenting Presbyterian Church history in the area by writing and by historical tours.
For more than twenty-five years as a Ruling Elder, he did pulpit supply in Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia for Presbyterian and other denominations.
A former Guidance Counselor, he was employed by the Washington County, Maryland school system for thirty-five years. He has retired from that position and serves the church by conducting weekly worship services and does other pastoral duties as the situation and time require.
He is married to Mary Kate Moore and they have one daughter, Laura Andrea. Bill and Mary Kate share their home at 97 Grimes Drive in Martinsburg, WV with their dog, Max and cat, Bugg.
"Bill" was formerly the Mayor of the Town of Hedgesville, WV and in recognition for his public service contributions was given the honor of being named "Distinguished West Virginian" by the Governor of the State in 1987.
